Whiskey is 15.1h with lots of bone and a thick athletic build. He is as solid a horse as you will find both mentally and physically. His future holds nothing but promise. He has very smooth gates and is talented, friendly, and a complete pleasure to be around. He has been ridden by several different levels of rider and fits most folks very well. He is responsive and very broke, so may have to many bells and whistles for a true beginner rider without lessons.

With his build, beautiful gates, and great mind, he is a true 6 event competitor in Versatility, but can go many other directions as well.

Whiskey is very talented on a cow both out of the herd and boxing/down the fence. He truly excels in reining with effortless changes, fast spins, and always slides long even in terrible ground. Ranch Riding and Trail are a complete breeze. His easy going nature and endearing personality make him a favorite both on the ground and in the saddle. Judges love him!

Whiskey is a solid show horse in reined cow horse, ranch horse, SHOT, and versatility or an incredible high-level head, heel, or calf horse with a little finish work. He would make a very legitimate multi-event High School Rodeo horse. He is a perfect age and has the training and showing background to do so many things. There have been no missed steps, he has it all.

He rides well in multiple bridle setups including a snaffle, Hackamore, and is very well started in the bridle, preparing him for his 2-rein year in 2021.

Even if you just want a safe, comfortable, dependable ranch horse, he can do that too. He is great in the arena or out riding.

Ranch Work, Brandings, & Modeling: Whiskey has been one of the go to geldings for ranch work for the last 2 years. He is excellent out in the open country and knows a long days work. He keeps his head in bad situations and has no quit even with a large cow losing it on end of his rope. He spends time out on the ranch multiple days a week pairing out, tagging, roping and doctoring, penning/sorting cattle etc. If you know anything about the toils of ranch work you know this horse hit a brand new level of awesome out on the range. Jason (ever the trainer) even works on reining maneuvers out in the pastures while heading out and back. This knowledge and work ethic adds so much value to a horse like this.

He has also drug countless calves to the fire at our brandings.

We have used Whiskey as a model at several of our photography workshops, in fact, he is often requested by our guests (no surprise there considering his looks). Some photos from those workshops below.

He is respectful, responsive, and enjoys being around people. Jason has done an excellent job with him over the last 3 years. Whiskey has no holes, no issues, and he has had the absolute best top notch care since the day he hit the ground.

Fully paid up in the AQHA Ranching Heritage Program. He can be registered FQHR and should at least 98% foundation with them. His sire is over 99%. He is the end of an era here at Perry Quarter Horses, as he is the last son we own of our beloved foundation stallion Berry Skyfire 7616.

Always been on an 6-8 week shoeing schedule (shoes are for show purposes, his feet are excellent), UTD on teeth (done on 7/10/2020), vaccinations, & worming. Easy to haul, shoe, saddle, catch, & bathe. No vices, no bad habits.

5 Panel N/N
