He is growing up strong and is built to last. He is the 1st progeny of Bob Hes Quick and his dam, but she and Cats Royal Boon have made several stellar performance horses that are now in Georgia, Florida, and Texas. We expect nothing less from him.

Docs Firey Gypsy Sky (dam) was born and raised on our ranch, and her bloodlines go back to Doc O’ Lena, Ranch Colonel, Sky High Leo, and Flying X Six - both from Kreb’s Quarter Horses of Scott City, KS - shown by Bozo Rogers.   She has PE in Reined Cow Horse, AQHA VRH, Heading, & Heeling.

Quick feet and starting to get cowy. His reining will have huge stops, clean, easy lead changes with pretty circles, and fast spins. In the right hands, he will make an OPEN-LEVEL FUTURITY REINED COW HORSE or a national-level OPEN VRH Horse.

He is as fancy as they come! With his marking, he very likely qualifies for APHA papers, but we have not pursued it.

We turned him out on April 27th for a 5-week break while we prepared the facility & hosted the Extreme Cowgirl Challenge, then went to a few shows, had our branding, and got ready for the AQHA VRH World.

These 2 videos are ride 4 or 5 after that break - dry work, and the 3rd time ever seeing cows. Videos are from the same ride.

VIDEO BELOW - Ride #55ish - 4/15/2025 - How can he ride like he knows so much? It’s a matter of who starts your young horses. Rebel was raised and trained by a performance horseman who has started 10,000 colts over the last 35 years and truly understands horse training. Jason taught him to trust, have a good work ethic, and be a willing partner. Jason utilized his natural personality, inclinations, talent, and ability to design a training program that allowed the horse to thrive. Rebel has fun; training isn't a chore.

Every ride meant something, and nothing was crammed down his throat; it was done over the course of five months. His first ride was on December 13th. There were several nice, over-a-week-long breaks in there.

Ride #30ish - 3/18/2025 - He is really starting to understand directions and aids - listening to his trainer. This gelding is very stylish, and with just 30 rides. Just imagine how awesome he will be as a finished performance horse.

  • He has a great set of manners and has been exposed to farm machinery, dogs, cattle/buffalo, horse walkers, etc.

  • Been on BUCKEYE Nutrition’s feed program since weaning to encourage steady skeletal and muscle growth to promote performance and longevity.

  • Always had proper foot care, timely vaccinations & deworming etc.

  • He is welcome to stay in our training program for as long as the new owner wishes. As a buyer incentive, we offer a training discount of $250 off each month for the first six months of training.

  • We are a small, hands-on operation, so we know our horses as well as anyone can. We’ve known the horses that were born here since the moment they were born. Both sire and dam of this prospect live on our ranch. In fact, many of our broodmares were born and raised here, too.
