BOB HES QUICK

2014 AQHA Red Roan Stallion

7 PANEL N/N (MYHM, GBED, HERDA, HYPP, MH, PSSM1, EJSCA)

PRICE: Call C.J. to discuss—likely much more cost-effective than you think, but she is being very selective about where he goes. 970-481-5742

With the loss of 3 very important mares in our program and several more not breeding back (due to their age) the last couple years, we are in the position of making a choice we never wanted to make and offering Romeo to another RCH program.

He is sound, and if someone wanted to show him some more, he could absolutely be tuned up and go back to the arena to show. We don’t have the money or time, and haven’t for a while, with all our young ones and all our energy these last few years going into them, and Spook N Boon. Romeo has been something of a middle child.

We have done a terrible job with an incredible horse.

If you are building a Cow Horse program and need a well-bred, cost-effective, seasoned sire, take a look.

He, himself, has the heart of a winner and has progeny out there just starting to show that they, too, are what we dreamt of. Breed him to your personal mares, stand him to the public; he deserves to be someone’s #1. Use him to build a great program. Do justice to him where we did not.

He collects, he pasture breeds. We are a completely open book for any and all questions. We have owned him for 10 years, so this is a huge and heartbreaking situation for us.

We will be retaining 250 frozen straws with 30 Breeding Permits as I know as we shape the future of our program, there will be future mares that will need to be crossed on Bob Hes Quick.

Other Info:

14h with a lot of bone and muscle. Jason is 6’2”.

We also thought of him as our program’s “Firestarter” because he definitely “kicked it up a notch”. If you need to speed up a mare’s feet, add some fire or cow - this is your stallion.

“Romeo” is a once-in-a-lifetime horse for us. His stout, strong, correct conformation gives him the open-caliber talent to excel at everything we put before him. From the NRCHA show pen to ranch work, we are always impressed with his ability to do the job.

Cowy, smart, and full of try. As you can see from the pictures, he is also quite the mover. What you can’t see in the photos is how great-minded and smooth to ride he is.

The best part is how much of him shines through in his progeny. He really stamps them with talent and a ton of cow. We have bred him to a very large variety of mares, from daughters of Im Countin Checks & Quejanaisalena to our home-raised ranch mares, and they all are loaded with talent, flash, and confidence, are very trainable, and as smooth to ride as Romeo.

This special stallion will make a great cross on mares that need more go, quicker feet, and harder stops. His oldest progeny are 6 in 2025, and foal crops have been small because our program is small. Still, he currently has progeny earning $ and points in NRCHA, AQHA VRH, AQHA RHB (Working Ranch Horse, Cutting, Breakaway, Ranch Riding), Futurity Breakaway Roping, Barrels, Penning, Sorting, and more, and they are just getting started.

He may only stand at 14h, but you feel like you are sitting on a huge horse - Jason is 6’2” - because he is so thick and strong. He should have been taller; his parents were 14.2+, but he lacked crucial nutrition before we purchased him. He also sires MUCH larger than himself. We have long yearlings and 2-year-olds that eclipse him in height by mares close to his size.
