Cowboy Camps: We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to design your own clinic. Have you always wanted to learn to swing a rope or spin a horse? Are you a trainer or colt starter who needs to add to your skills? Sick of your confidence issues out on the trail? Want to get your horse started on cows or improve your cattle reading skills? Would you love to get started in Cow Horse or Versatility Ranch Horse events and need help?
Maybe you just want to spend a quiet weekend on a ranch honing your horsemanship skills with a few close friends?
These clinics are a perfect way for you and your horse to get the “me time” you deserve.

Each clinic is custom-designed to meet the group’s specific needs and goals. The learning possibilities are endless, and there is tons of fun to be had!

On-Site Clinics: We occasionally host Reined Cow Horse and Versatility Ranch Horse clinics here. The groups are kept small (8-10 max), and the clinics last 2.5-3 days. They fill fast, and there are just a couple a year!

We are available to do clinics during the week or on weekends.
Traveling clinics are also available if you have a facility and would like Jason to travel to you. Please contact C.J. for those details.

Details: COLT STARTING ONLY
Colt Starting Cowboy Camps are for experienced riders who have some basic knowledge of colt starting, only. For example, trainers, assistant trainers, and those employed by a breeder or ranch who need to expand their knowledge and skill set to help produce better horses.
These camps are 3-5 days, custom-tailored to teach you proper technique for starting horses. A 3-day minimum is non-negotiable - both horses and riders need time to “sleep on it” a couple of times to get the most out of their time here.
Limited to 3 participants and 6 total horses. $400/day/person/1st horse. Additional horses per person are $100/day.
The amount of time given to each horse each day depends on the horse and rider combinations - there is no set # of hours like the riding camps. Colt starting is an art, not a race.
Highly recommend horses be younger than 3 years of age.
2025 Per Day Prices for Cowboy Camps/Lessons
1 person - $575/day
2 people - $300/person/day
3 people - $250/person/day
4+ people - $225/person/day
An extra horse per person is $50/day
Jason “hopping on” your horse during the clinic or lesson* is $25/day per horse/per ride of his. *Unless the horse is a PQH training horse.
Guest House - located on our ranch, a discounted nightly rate is available.
We can also add other activities depending on the time of year, weather, etc. - sunset ranch rides, cattle drives, bonfires, and photography sessions with your horse, to name a few.
Cattle rental (if need more than we have on hand) is an additional charge.
40% non-refundable deposit required* on all Cowboy Camps.
2025 Per Hour Lesson Prices
Private Lesson - $100/hour
2 Person Lesson - $60/hour/person
3+ Group Lesson - $50/hour/person
We do not stack our lessons back to back or cut people off at an hour. Lessons are often 1.5-2 hours in length and are billed for the length of time you ride.
Extra horse per person is $50/day/lesson.
Jason “hopping on” your horse during the lesson is $25/lesson/horse.
Camp & Clinic Days at PQH
During your Clinic or Camp, you will work with Jason for about 5-6 hours each day, with a mid-day lunch break. Daily prices include everything you need (for example: cattle/buffalo cost, use of all roping/cutting dummies, trail course, etc.), lodging for your horse(s), an RV plugin, and lunch each day.
For other meals - if needed, there are restaurants and a grocery store in Leoti.
