Bet Hes Cajun

2019 AQHA Chestnut Gelding

$32,500

Cajun is a big, strong, stylish gelding with a great mind. He is a beautiful mover, very trainable, and loaded with talent. He has not been shown yet in the 2-Rein. In the process of a tune-up to be ready for your fall RCH shows.

If you like 14.3H beefy, sweet, fluid-moving geldings with huge stops and no quit, he could be your lifetime horse. Cajun is 6-panel n/n by parentage with impeccable manners - easy to haul, shoe, bathe, saddle, catch etc. Absolutely no vices, UTD on everything. Vaccinations & dental done in March.

He accidentally became a back burner due to Jason’s limited time - too many obligations on the ranch, training horses, and our young and project horses. This is already reflected in his price.

He will do best under a light-handed, good-seated rider who does not “pick” on horses. His moves on a cow are smooth and easy to sit, but big, not at all scary (very fun!). However, this is not a novice or beginner’s horse; this is a horse for an Open or accomplished/confident NP to show and enjoy. He will make the right rider look like the BEST rider!

His heart of gold and uncanny smarts come from his dam (HER ARTICLE IN HORSE & RIDER - you will have to scroll down a little to get to it on the page).

Cajun is the 1st foal from a now repeat match of Kikiquejana - daughter of Quejanaisalena (LTE 338k) and our red roan stallion, Bob Hes Quick (x Bet Hesa Cat).

Cajun has also spent a considerable amount of time out on the ranch and at brandings. He stays trained, even with extended periods of time off.

Jason would be happy to continue his bridle horse training for his new folks at a discounted rate.

NEW VIDEOS AND CURRENT PHOTOS COMING SOON!!!!!

Another barefoot lope around video waiting for the outdoor (stopping arena) to dry out and our next farrier appointment to get some sliders put on ole’ Cajun here.

Teaser video taken 5/31/2025: BAREFOOT, 2nd ride ever in a real bridle, 2nd ride after sitting for at least 75 days (we’ve been swamped) - this is just him, with the right style rider. We have way too many other obligations, and he is obviously way too lovely to waste away on the Kansas plains.

For reference, Jason is 6’2”with a 38” inseam.

The show photos are from October 2022. The branding was May 2023 just to show him younger. Current is coming.
