Strait To The Sky

2017 AQHA Sorrel Gelding

Thank you all so much for your interest!

Strait To The Sky “Strait” is just one of those horses. From the day he was born, Jason has talked about his mind and easy going nature. He is a deep pretty red sorrel with plenty of chrome. Strait has the talent, ability, & mind to go in so many directions, but we think he would be a great AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse as he has the ability to excel in all 6 events.

Pictures and Video Links are under description.

As of 8/7/2019, Strait has about 40 total rides. He will continue in training until sold. As you can see from the videos he has been ridden inside and out, been on the trail course, knows both leads, is started on the cutting dummy, has been around cows and buffalo, and is starting to carry himself like a show horse.

He currently stands almost 14.2h and we expect him to end up right around 15h. He has excellent bone structure and is muscling out nicely since beginning training. He’s going to be thick and strong, perfect for conformation classes.

From day one, Strait has been very easy to be around and was easy to get going under saddle. He is kind, mellow, and loves attention. Easy to catch, bathe, trim, and vaccinate. Stands tied at the rail or trailer.

As breeders, we work very hard to set our young horses up for success. Our horses get the best nutrition available (we work closely with our vets and an equine nutritionist PhD to ensure the very best) & a strict schedule for hoof trims,  vaccinations, and worming.

I think it is pretty clear in all the videos that Strait was started with a good foundation of ground work and trust based respect. Jason has done an excellent job getting him started right.

Our young horses lived out at pasture primarily, but they have now spent most of the summer up at the barn living in indoor and outdoor pens.

True to our ranching way of life, they have been exposed to all manners of equipment (combines, tractors, side by sides, etc.), cows, buffalo, dogs, hot wire, other horses, & general ranch commotion. They have also been hauled to places like the fair & shoer just for experience.

AQHA Registration Papers in hand.  Enrolled in the AQHA Ranching Heritage Program. Coggins pulled, ready to go!!!

Thanks for visiting, feel free to call or email with questions.  Pre-purchase exams can be arranged and are welcome at buyers expense.  Sire and general dam info is on the BREEDING page.
